At the beginning of the trading week, the Turkish benchmark stock index saw a positive start, opening on Monday at 9,134.22 points. This marked a gain of 0.98%, or 88.25 points, compared to the previous close.
During the last week's closing session, the BIST 100 index had shown a notable increase, rising by 1.07% to reach a new historic high closing of 9,045.97 points. This surge was accompanied by a daily transaction volume of 120 billion liras ($3.92 billion).
As of 10:10 a.m. local time (GMT0710), the exchange rates were as follows: the USD/TRY rate stood at 30.6670, the EUR/TRY rate was at 33.1630, and the GBP/TRY rate was recorded at 38.7910.
Additionally, the price of one ounce of gold was noted at $2,037.65, while the barrel price of Brent oil hovered around $81.90.
